Sorry this post is up late everyone! I was out of state all day and haven't had to time to write until just now. Today, I thought it would be a good time to look back at one of my first posts of the New Year, My 2016 Goals. If you haven't read that one, feel free to read it. Otherwise, let's get started!
1. Get an "A" in all of my college courses this semester.
I did it! I had three college courses this semester: Intro to Sociology, Psychology, and Web Development 1. And I did it, I finished all of them a week early, and with A's. I was very frustrated with some of them at first, but as the semester went on, I got better and finished. Praise God!
2. Be stretched: become more comfortable with singing, prayer, and group sharing.
Well, I've definitely gotten a lot better in group sharing. A little bit in prayer... not at all in singing. Yeah. I'll just have to keep praying that God would continue to stretch me!
3. Figure out my career path.
I actually HAVE done this! Now, obviously a lot of people end up changing their major, and I can't really say what will happen in the future. But I do have my initial idea. I am already enrolled in LTC again next year for my first semester of my associates degree in Web and Software Development!
4. Spend more time with God.
I still don't spend enough time with Him. I have continued my daily devotional and prayer team, but those really aren't that long. I've extended them, but I don't want my time with Him to be a once a day, get-it-done kind of thing. As Philippians 4:6 says, "Don't worry about anything. Instead, pray about everything." I still don't spend enough time praying and telling God about what's going on in my life. Realistically, I will probably always want to do better. I doubt I'll ever reach a point where I would say, "Yeah, I spend enough time with God, I don't need any more." But I know where I am now is not as close as I want to be.
-How about you? How are your goals going? If you'd like, you can share in the comment section. I'd love to see how you all are doing!
