Happy New Year! It's my first post of 2016. When I started this blog last May, I didn't really know how this blog was going to go. It's crazy that I've already been blogging for EIGHT MONTHS! I've really enjoyed it and I enjoy looking back at some of my older posts to see how much I've changed since I began.
I thought it would be appropriate to start the new year with a post about some of my goals for 2016! I'm sure I'll have more going forward, but these are my goals at the moment!
Get an "A" in all of my college classes this semester.
My high school has a program called Youth Options where students meeting certain qualifications can take courses at LTC, Lakeshore Technical College, for free! My high school pays for it, and I get both high school AND college credit for the classes! It's an amazing opportunity and I don't take it lightly. To get an "A" in an LTC course, I need a 93% or above. It's a lofty goal, but I know I can accomplish it if I set my mind to it!
Be stretched: become more comfortable with singing, prayer, and group sharing.
These are a few things I've struggled with for a long time. At worship team practices, youth groups, or other things, we often do group discussions about certain topics. I have never wanted to share in these, but I want to grow out of that and become comfortable talking and sharing with others. I also want to be able to sing on the worship team and pray without feeling self conscious (I talk about my prayer struggle in one of my earlier posts. You can read that post by clicking here)
Figure out my career path.
This is something people ask me about all the time, but I just never know. This year, I want to do my research and figure out what I'm going to do with my life!
Spend more time with God.
I have gotten much better this year with daily devotions and prayer, but I can still do so much better! I read my devotional almost every night, but I don't spend much time in the actual Bible. That needs to change! And I also should be praying more. I want to know Him better!
