Another new year is here! Last year, my blog started off with a post about my goals for the year. This year, I'm going to start by seeing how I did with last year's goals. Then, next week, I'll list my goals for this year. So let's get started!
Here are my goals I made for last year, and how I did on them.
Get an "A" in all of my college classes this semester.
Well, I was pretty close. I took 5 classes, and had four A's. One B. But it was a high B. I need a 93% or higher for an A at LTC, so it is pretty difficult to do. But it was still a great semester! While I didn't meet my goal, I'm happy with how I did in understanding the material and my overall performance, so I'd say this was okay.
Be stretched: become more comfortable with singing, prayer, and group sharing.
Well... this one left a lot to be desired. Singing, I really haven't made any progress. I'm a lot more comfortable and at ease in my private prayer, but I still am not very good with praying in public. Group sharing has been better though. Since I started leading a small group of middle schoolers, it has helped me be better at that. However, I know this is something I should and will continue into this next year!
Figure out my career path.
As I've been told many times, the average person changes their career path like 5 times, or something like that. So, I can't say that this is going to be the final plan. But I do have a plan to start with: I'll be getting a degree in Web and Software Development. I'll start with finishing off my Associate's degree this next year at LTC, then transfer my credits to another college (not sure where yet) and get a Bachelor's.
Spend more time with God.
I have done better with this. I was very consistent in my daily prayer/devotions. However, I do still want to be in His presence longer and more often. I have made strides, but I'm not done bringing myself closer to Him!
This past year has been crazy. There have been lots of changes, ups and downs, struggles and victories. But through it all, God has been faithful to me, and I'm thankful for everything that happened. It has all helped make me who I am now. And I pray that God would continue to shape me into the man He has created me to be in this coming year.
