This morning was kind of rough. It wasn't the worst day, but not much was going my way. I had some friends I was going to hang out with that canceled, and other things like that, and my mood just kept sinking lower and lower.
Sorry this post is up late everyone! I was out of state all day and haven't had to time to write until just now. Today, I thought it would be a good time to look back at one of my first posts of the New Year, My 2016 Goals. If you haven't read that one, feel free to read it. Otherwise, let's get started!
At my age, there is a lot of pressure to have your future figured out. My high school is constantly planning college visits, even back when I was a sophomore (just after I turned 15 years old). And for each of those college visits, I had to fill out forms with details about my intended major. It was very overwhelming and I felt stressed. The future can be very overwhelming to think about.
It's been a great weekend. My extended family always comes to visit on holidays, and it was Mother's Day weekend, so I got to hang out with them all weekend. It was awesome, and I can't wait till the next holiday! But last night, after I got home and was alone for a few hours, I really did not feel great at all. I started thinking about all the ways that I don't amount to anything, and I felt very unimportant and unnecessary for anything.
