So as you probably know from my post last week, I was volunteering at a summer day camp for middle schoolers. For the week, each kid in the camp (there were about 75) was a part of one of the four teams. Each team had 3 to 4 leaders that would spend the week talking to them, teaching them, and spending time with them. And I'm happy to report that it went GREAT!

Last Sunday night, I was at youth group. It was a game night; we had a short lesson at the end of the night, but the majority of the time, we were playing games in the gym. Theoretically, I should have enjoyed this, but I found a lot of the time I really was NOT having fun, but I was complaining.
This morning was kind of rough. It wasn't the worst day, but not much was going my way. I had some friends I was going to hang out with that canceled, and other things like that, and my mood just kept sinking lower and lower.
Sorry this post is up late everyone! I was out of state all day and haven't had to time to write until just now. Today, I thought it would be a good time to look back at one of my first posts of the New Year, My 2016 Goals. If you haven't read that one, feel free to read it. Otherwise, let's get started!
This past Sunday, I sang on the worship team for church. Not only that, I led one of the songs, the first time I've ever led a worship song. And I'm not gonna lie, I was CRAZY nervous. I'm really insecure about my voice, and though I love singing, singing with a microphone makes me very uncomfortable and doubtful of my abilities. But it was made much easier through the support of those around me.
I was in a Bible study this past week, and in it we were talking about John 18. This passage is about when Jesus is arrested. In the verses, Judas has brought a small army of Roman soldiers and temple police (between 300 and 600 men!) to arrest Jesus. In these verses, Jesus comes up to the soldiers and asks, "Who are you looking for?" They tell him they are looking for Jesus of Nazareth. To this, Jesus responds and says "I AM." This causes the entire army to literally fall to the ground! (verse 6)
Another month has gone by. What a crazy month it's been! It seems the days are going faster and faster. Hopefully someday it slows down and I can catch up with everything! Now that March is over and April has begun, I'm shifting my focus to a new goal. But first, I'm going to review how I did last month.
Have you ever broken a rule and felt justified because you didn't necessarily agree with or understand the rule? I have. In fact, it was just this past week. But as I was thinking about things in my life that I needed to change, this is what came to mind, and I knew it needed to be fixed.
I think monthly goals posts is going to become an ongoing series. There are plenty of things I need to work on and posting them is a good way to make sure they get done!
This week, I looked back at my blogging history (44 posts!), I realized that I have really come a long way since I started, and I've learned a lot! Today, I want to share some of these things with you. So, here are 4 things I've learned from blogging!
