Chris Tomlin is arguably the greatest Christian songwriter of all time. He is the greatest to me! He has written so many great worship songs. This week, when I felt discouraged, I turned on a playlist of Chris Tomlin music. So today, I decided to compile a list of the top 10 songs Chris Tomlin has written! (In my opinion!)
Note: I've included some of my favorite lyrics from each song. Also, I've left links to each of the songs, just click on the name of the song to listen to it!
10. I Will Follow (And If Our God is For Us)
All your ways are good
All your ways are sure
I will trust in you alone
Higher than my sight
High above my life
I will trust in you alone
9. Jesus, Son of God (Burning Lights)
There is no power
That can come against Your love
The cross was enough
The cross was enough!
8. At the Cross (Love Ran Red)
At the cross
I surrender my life
I'm in awe of You
Where Your love ran red
and my sin washed white
I owe all to You
7. Whom Shall I Fear (Burning Lights)
The one who reigns forever
He is a friend of mine
The God of angel armies
Is always by my side!
6. Sovereign (Burning Lights)
In your everlasting arms
All the pieces of my life
From beginning to the end
I can trust you
5. Indescribable (How Great is Our God)
From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
4. God's Great Dance Floor (Burning Lights)
You'll never stop loving us
No matter how far we run
You'll never give up on us
All of heaven shouts: let the future begin
3. Cross of Christ (Even So Come)
It is the cross my only plea
The blood He shed delivers me
Our Saviour's arms are open wide
A love so great the cross of Christ
2. Waterfall (Love Ran Red)
Your love is like a waterfall, waterfall
Running wild and free
You hear my heart when I call, when I call
Deep calls, to deep
Your love is like a waterfall, waterfall
Raining down on me
1. Crown Him (Majesty) (Burning Lights)
Crown Him Lord of life
Who triumphed o'er the grave
And rose victorious in the strife
For those He came to save
His glories now we sing
Who died and rose on high
Who died eternal life to bring
And lives that death may die!
